BRAD COLERICK AND DAVE CURTIN FORM "DEEPMIX"

Industry Vets Launch New Music Venture

HOLLYWOOD, CA:Music industry and advertising veterans Dave Curtin and Brad Colerick have banded together to create a new music supervision company. With extensive industry experience, the two are bringing their talents and expertise to this uniquely positioned venture, DeepMix. The new entity will specialize in commercial and film music supervision as well as original music utilizing artists, producers, DJs and re-mixers from the music world. They will also be involved with soundtracks, music branded CDs and other niche services.

Brad Colerick, President of the new entity, says "We see DeepMix as a kind of hybrid company, catering to both the music and advertising worlds." Along with Creative Director Dave Curtin, the boutique company will offer their clients a high level of experience and creativity in researching or creating music for various media.

Thinking outside the box is something this cutting-edge duo is quite familiar with. Most recently working as a musical consultant, DeepMix President Brad Colerick won a 2002 London International Advertising award for a recording of Buddy Guy. Coca-Cola, Budweiser, McDonald's, Sears and Reebok, are some of his most notable clients. His projects have utilized the talents of countless artists including Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, B.B. King and Veruca Salt.

Dave Curtin's music career began as a DJ when he was still a teenager, and through the years he has worked as a record producer and artist manager. He also music supervised New Line Cinema's "Poison Ivy 2" starring Alyssa Milano and Jonathon Schaech and "Embrace Of The Vampire" starring Jennifer Tilly. Last year he supervised the Showtime original film "Princess and the Barrio Boy" starring Edward James Olmos and Maria Conchito Alonzo. His commercial experience has been highlighted by an impressive spot for Gatorade featuring an original track by L.L. Cool J.

Most recently, Curtin was working for HUM Music + Sound Design as Director of Special Projects. Dave's main focus was to oversee the launch and management of a specialized division of the company, SubZero.

Brad Colerick first met Dave Curtin while tracking down an alternative rock band managed by Curtin for a commercial. They connected on this and other projects over the next few years and discovered they shared a common philosophy of where the music industry should be headed.

Just a few months into its formation, DeepMix has already worked on a number of interesting projects. They licensed Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit for the THQ video game, Red Faction 2, and also worked on two spots for Kia Motors out of davidandgoliath, Los Angeles. For one of the Kia spots, DeepMix not only licensed the song but also re-mixed it to better suit the visual concept.

They are currently music supervising "American Rap Stars," a hip hop documentary featuring Russell Simmons, Snoop Dogg, Run DMC and other rap luminaries for First Look Media. They also supervised "Quicksand" (starring Michael Caine and Michael Keaton) and "Borderline" (starring Gina Gershon) which premiered recently on HBO.

One of DeepMix's main assets is the invaluable relationships they have formed with executives in advertising, music and film and with artists of all levels. Brad Colerick explains, "We are able to make strong contacts with the publishers and record labels by placing their songs into films and commercials. Consequently, establishing these relationships helps us gain access to the artists."

Brad Colerick and Dave Curtin are committed to developing unique strategies and forming strategic alliances. DeepMix is poised to be one of the leaders in a new breed of business-to-business companies. They will be seeking out beneficial opportunities for both artists and advertisers that are both innovative and cost-effective

.As part of their marketing strategy, DeepMix has developed a compilation CD entitled "Hollywood & Vine" featuring signed and unsigned artists, such as Mexico's Kinky (rock/elctronica) and the UK's Lamb (ambient pop).
